Bio
Thor Gold is an award-winning director who creates studio quality work on tight budgets. Born in New York City, lived in London, Greece, Denmark and Los Angeles, Gold worked as an assistant director, assistant editor, actor and directing coach for such filmmakers and actors as James Franco, Roger Corman, Adrianne Palicki, Mark Pellington, Jonathan Winters, and Gregory Nava. He co-starred in the play “The A**hole” with James Franco, “True Blood’s” Jim Parrack, “The Help’s” Ahna O’Reilly, and “Scrubs” Dave Franco. His work has screened at film festivals around the world, including Cannes, and his short “Double Trouble” is part of the Film Studies curriculum at UCSB.
